In short
postcursors is a static site. No tracking cookies, no user accounts, no forms, no personal data collected. Analytics is handled by Umami, a self-hosted, privacy-first tool.
Analytics
This site uses Umami, a self-hosted, open-source analytics solution. Umami is designed to be GDPR-compliant without requiring a consent banner:
- No tracking cookies
- No personal data collected (no IP, no fingerprint)
- No third-party sharing
- No profiling or ad targeting
- Data hosted on our own servers
Data collected
The only data collected by Umami is anonymous and aggregated:
- URL of the visited page
- Referrer (where the visitor came from)
- Browser type and OS (without identification)
- Country of origin (via approximate IP geolocation, IP is not stored)
- Anonymous interactions: clicks on call-to-action buttons, language switches, outbound link clicks (no personal data is associated with these events)
Cookies
This site does not set any cookies. No tracking cookies, no functional cookies, no third-party cookies. No consent banner is necessary.
Third-party content
The site does not embed any third-party content (no Google Fonts, no external CDN, no third-party analytics scripts, no social sharing buttons). All resources are served from the same domain.
Your rights
In accordance with GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, and delete your data. In the case of postcursors, since no personal data is collected, these rights apply de facto.
For any privacy-related questions, you can contact us via the project repository.
Hosting
The site is hosted on a Hetzner server (Germany), with DNS managed by Cloudflare. Hetzner may collect technical data as part of providing its hosting service (request logs). See the Hetzner privacy policy for details.
